7 Dead As Building Collapses In Umuahia, Abia (PICTURED)



Seven people were killed when a building under construction collapsed in Umuahia in the Abia state capital.

Efforts by the Red Cross Society and other rescue operations are on-going to rescue people trapped in the building that is situated at the Agbama Housing Estate.

This is the latest in a series of recent incidents of buildings collapsing worldwide.

There was no immediate comment from the officials attending the scene.

Last week, several people were killed when a church building collapsed in Lagos.
