Enugu - The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has sacked five staff members, including a senior lecturer, for altering students’ grades.

It listed the affected staff members as Ibiyemi Ariyo, Senior Lecturer; Ikechukwu Onah, Lecturer II; Chikezie Aneke, Assistant Lecturer; Nnamdi Okomba, Assistant Lecturer, and Christy Okoro, Computer Operator.

The statement, signed by Ossy Ugwuoti, the Director of Public Relations of the university, said the affected persons were from the Department of Computer Engineering.

The council, according to the statement, reiterated its warning to take severe disciplinary action on any worker involved in any form of academic fraud.
